The Vice-Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship for India is designed to support academically talented Indian students enrolling for the first time in undergraduate or postgraduate programmes at the University of Waikato. Established in 2015, this scholarship seeks to promote globalisation and help deserving students financially. Recipients are supposed to serve as university's worldwide representatives. • Value: Up to NZD 15,000 towards tuition fees • Disbursement: The scholarship amount is applied directly to the recipient's tuition fees account upon confirmation of enrolment.

Eligibility Criteria To be eligible for the Waikato VC India Excellence Scholarship Application 2025, applicants must: • Citizenship: Be a citizen or permanent resident of India. • Enrollment Status: Be enrolling for the first time in an undergraduate or postgraduate programme at the University of Waikato. • Academic Requirements: Have a minimum GPA equivalency of B+ in the qualification used for admission. • Offer of Place: Have received a conditional or unconditional offer of place from the University of Waikato. • Exclusions: Applicants are not eligible if they: ∘ Are currently enrolled at the University of Waikato. ∘ Have paid tuition fees or applied for a visa at the time of application. ∘ Are enrolling through a sponsoring body, Guaranteed Credit Arrangement, study abroad, or student exchange agreement. These constitute the Waikato VC India scholarship eligibility criteria. Application Process To apply for the scholarship: 1. Application to Enrol: Complete an application to enrol at the University of Waikato. 2. MyWaikato Account: Create a MyWaikato account. 3. Scholarship Application: Log into MyWaikato, navigate to the ‘Scholarships’ tab, and select the Vice-Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship for India to apply.
